Game Design

While working on new features and systems, I like to first plan and sketch digital or paper prototypes. Here are some samples of my designs.

Snowball Fight Map

I was tasked with working with a map artist to design an event-based and winter-themed team deathmatch map. We opted to create a symmetrical spawn-based map with spawned power-ups, occasional buffs, and fast methods to get back into the fight.

Combat Catalogue

I worked on creating designs for a catalogue that had to categorize weapons and mobs in the game and consist of minimum UI diving.

Gem Slot System

The goal was to revamp combat entirely from a plain damage system to one that involved gem slotting to improve how weapons feel and behave. The idea was proposed to give players more control over the weapons to make them feel unique to each individual player.

Research Table

This screenshot is a prototyped example of a researching feature. The feature was designed to help players track down how to acquire resources in the game. Players would be able to search for any item in the game, and the results would let players determine how they would want to go about acquiring said resources.
